New Season, New You?
It’s a new season, who are you?
So…it’s a new season, and you are feeling like it’s time for a restart. Time for something new. Maybe you have been reflecting on things you’ve done (or haven’t done), places you’ve been…maybe you’re thinking about things that you still haven’t completed. Will you use this time as an opportunity to start over? Create a “new you?” If this is you, welcome! Starting to move in a new way can almost feel like you are moving as a completely different person. I, as a believer in Christ, believe that is is because you are moving from your world self into this new life. The beautiful thing is once you are birth as a new creation in Christ, you grow. You keep evolving (like birthday ya know). You continue getting older and with that you have new wisdom, new ways you want to evolve and show up in the world. This is where I am as well. I am evolving into a new level. A new level I get to share with my family all over the world (this community). I want to share some things that I have been experiencing that confirms that this is a new season. That I am evolving into a new (version) of me.
Discomfort for regular things you used to do. Even if you find yourself still doing these things, there will be thoughts of why am I doing this? I don’t want to do this? I’m bored on this? Something that acknowledges that this thing (whatever that is for you) is no longer fulfilling.
An inner battle. You will begin to see and know that certain ways of thinking are connected to your old way of being. You will be able to start noticing and calling it out. Once you call it out you will be able to bring in a new thought that aligns with your new way on thinking.
Content in the shift. There is an inner knowing that this new way of being is where you want to be and God is making it happen. He is guiding you to greater and you feel a sense of peace. Knowing you are divinely protected and God’s timing is perfect. Everything works out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
My Morning Routine
Start with meaning.
Hey babes! Today I just wanted to share with you my personal morning routine. I believe it is so important to have a morning routine to start your day. I used to be one of those girlies who jumped up 30 minutes to an hour before I had to go somewhere to rush and get together and then get out the door. No ma’am. That was not it. Living like that lead to be being chaotic, forgetting stuff, being frustrated, and was just overall not a good look. Now, I thoroughly enjoy my slow morning routine. Here are a few non-negotiables for me as an evolving woman who is determined to live her best life.
Morning water. Ladies, before you put that coffee, tea, energy drink puh-lease drink some water first. If you really want to get fancy with it add some lemon and limes in it. Uh oh! Watch out now! LOL for real morning water is a must for me. I add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt for electrolytes.
Morning prayer and meditation. I MUST have my time with God in the morning. Reading the Word, journaling, and praying helps me feel close to God and puts me in a grateful space. When I don’t do this I go wherever the day takes me, and that may not be a good place. Now, this is a must-do for me.
Basic beauty refresh. Brush my teeth, wash my face, and do my hair, and makeup/lashes. Now, I’m sure most people at least brush their teeth, but the other things may be optional. (Especially, if you work from home like me). Having a fresh face, light makeup (or a full beat if I’m feeling it), and my hair together just puts me in the space to win. I feel like regardless of what comes up, I can face it. “Stay ready so you don’t gotta get ready” kind of mentality. As an evolving woman, this has done WONDERS for me, and I ain’t never going back.
These three things are just a few must-dos during my morning routine. I absolutely LOVE the way my routine makes me feel. There is definitely more, so make sure you check out my video here on my website if you want to know more. What are some non-negotiables for your morning routine?
xoxo,
Pretty P
